For our catering customers in Zeeland we are looking for Sous-Chefs

In the absence of the chef, the sous chef is the highest responsible on the shop floor. He steers the kitchen staff professionally, acts as sparring partner of the chef and is responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes.

The work will include:

  • Drafting of schedules for the products to be prepared and the necessary raw materials
  • Assigning work to kitchen personnel
  • Supervising the quality and progress of activities in the kitchen
  • Instructing, advising and correcting colleagues if necessary
  • Supervising student chefs, kitchen assistants, trainees and other (new) employees
  • Manage the stock and place orders with suppliers
  • Contribute to the renewal of recipes and the menu
  • Optimization of work processes

We expect:

  • Completed culinary education
  • Experience with leadership
  • You are neat and efficient
  • Both independently and team player
  • Be responsible and comply with agreements
  • Knowledge of English language, Dutch is a plus
