Service Engineer/Mechanic

Target function:

Providing assembly, maintenance, revision and repair of a wide range of equipment and/or installations (at the customer's location) according to given instructions or guidelines.

Examples of tasks within the function:

  • Service and maintenance of metal:
  • Adjustment, adjustment and commissioning of equipment.
  • Maintenance of components, motors and equipment.
  • Sawing or cutting to size.
  • Solving technical malfunctions and problems.
  • Repair (and maintenance) (defective) parts.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of machines.
  • Performing and assisting with maintenance.
  • Remediation of malfunctions.
  • Replacing defective parts and components.
  • Service and maintenance in general:
  • Processing of materials.
  • Measurement of parts or structures to be repaired.
  • Performing periodic inspections and maintenance.

Mechanical engineering:

  • Installation of cabling.
  • Applying technical modifications.
  • Assembly of sub-products and semi-finished products.
  • Adjustment and adjustment of machines and tools.
  • Assembly and assembly of machines and equipment.
  • Assembly of systems and components.
  • Assembly and conversion of equipment.

Disassembly:

  • Disposal of semi-finished products.
  • Disposal of harmful substances and auxiliary materials.
  • Disassembly of structures and equipment.
  • Dismantling parts and components.

Other:

  • Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and the Environment (QHSE) (applying for permits, reporting malfunctions and deviations, carrying out workplace inspections, etc.).
  • Pupil guidance / practical training (monitoring, directing and evaluating the learning process, coordinating practical assignments, etc.).
  • Development (maintaining and expanding professional knowledge, sharing professional knowledge with colleagues, etc.).
  • Organisation of own work (registration of hours worked, checking and measuring own work, cleaning up and cleaning the workplace, etc.).
  • Consultation and coordination (transfer of work, participating in work meetings and/or toolboxes, informing and cooperating with colleagues, etc.).

Basic and supplementary training (and work experience):

  • Must have completed a technical education (equivalent to Título de Técnico) in terms of content and level, supplemented with courses and/or training and work experience.
  • Possible technical programmes:
    • (All-round) construction worker.
    • First mechanic in mechatronics.
    • Mechanical engineering.

Work experience:

Minimum of 9 to 12 months.

Other:

  • Is in possession of a driver's license and own transport.
  • In possession of a certificate of good conduct.
  • Participation in our on-call service for one of our customers.
